5. The prisoner, who was wounded in the forearm, WE S

transferred to Shameen Police on arrival of H.M.S. "PETEREL"

in Canton.

It is understood that he is being handed over to the

Canton police for investigation and punishment. This action was

taken after consultation with His Britannic Majesty's Consul

Gene ral.

6. I beg to submit that the Asiatic Petroleum Company's attention may be called to the assistance rendered by the Cox-

swain and crew of the "YUET TUNG". This is the second time the

Steam Launch "YUET TUNG" has assisted in these operations (see

H.M.S."FAULKNOR&s" report dated 6th November 1927). I may add

that the manager of this company in Canton gave me every facility in planning the operation.
